Dear Fellow Hockey Families;
>     I hope your summer has been an enjoyable one. EAJHA is in the process of obtaining Escanaba School Board approval of a JV Hockey team and we need your support. Six other schools in the U.P. have gone down this same path with great results. (Houghton, Hancock, Calumet, Sault Ste. Marie, Marquette and Menominee/Marinette) A JV team would work hand in hand with the varsity team, be called the Eskymo’s and wear orange and black! The JV program across the U.P. has improved over the years schools/organizations are moving toward this model instead of a midget team. We have gained the support of Nick Nolde, Matt Hughes and the Blue Line Club.
Without fundraising we have come up with a figure of under $1500 per player with 15 players. If we get more players or fundraise the price will go down and all the figures we used were on the extreme high side to be safe. This figure included three practices a week, up to 12 home games, refs for home games, home and away jersey, gloves and a paid coach.

What we need from you is your support of the JV team in one or both of the following:
1. Email to all of the following Escanaba School Board members:

cwilson@eskymos.com
cgragnier@eskymos.com
kjensen208@gmal.com
dflynn@eskymos.com
danflynn64@hotmail.com
nclouse@eskymos.com
mnoble@eskymos.com

2.Attend the next Escanaba School Board Meeting Monday August 15th, 6:00 PM, courtyard room at the old Junior high.

Whether your child will be a canidate this year, or in the upcoming years, or even if your player is beyond. In your own words please comment on what this program can do for hockey such as:
>
> Provide a respectable place for your player to continue their hockey experience
> Provide a place for your player to master their skills for future varsity possiblities
> Give your player a place to play beyond youth hockey

>
>  thank you in advance for your support!
